How to Setup and Use Round Over Bits on a CNC Router
The roundover router bit milling cutters create a smooth, convex profile on the edge of a workpiece, replacing a sharp edge with a smooth, softer, and more decorative quarter-round shape. They are essential tools for finishing the edges of furniture, tabletops, and cabinets, and are available in a variety of radii (i.e., the size of the curve) to create effects ranging from a slight softening of the edge to a more pronounced rounded profile.
Radius:
The main characteristic of a roundover bit, indicating the size of the rounded edge it creates.This data is not fixed and can be customized according to your requirements. Common sizes include 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8" radii.
