Plexiglass router bit for machining acrylic may consist of one to three flutes. Single and double fluted bits are commonly used.Acrylic router bits shank diameter should always be equal to or larger than the cutting tool diameter. The length of the shank should be long enough so that the entire cutting edge is usable.

When processing acrylic using a Plastic router bits, solid carbide, up-spiral "O" flute router bits will produce thebest results.because the O-flute design allows chips to curl naturally as they are formed and facilitates betterevacuation of the chips from the cutting area

Safety

When using routing equipment always wear protective face shields or safety goggles. Hearing protection is recommended for extended periods of routing. If avacuum system is not used, a respirator or dust mask will offer protection from dust particles.

Note:

If to cut paper backed acrylic or with Onion skin,as we are not sure what your machine capabilities are:
-If your end mill snaps or the machine stalls, you're feeding too fast
-If material is melting onto the end mill, you're either not feeding it fast enough or your spindle speeds is too high. Or maybe because you need better coolant
-If you do have issues, you can also try to reduce your depth of cut to half. That would help a lot. But obviously it will take twice as long to cut
